Franklin Templeton: Rates masterclass
Brief
Produce a live masterclass on investment strategies for a falling rate environment, as well as a suite of social media videos to promote the content both before and after the event.
Strategy
As central banks began cutting rates back in the summer of 2024, a crucial question for investors was which asset classes could benefit from this new falling rate environment?
We were commissioned by Franklin Templeton to elevate a traditional webinar into a live multi-camera masterclass, hosted by Financial Times commentator and author Merryn Somerset Webb. We wanted to create something dynamic, and visually engaging – with no predictable webcam shots.
In the weeks leading up to the masterclass we developed a distinct look and feel for a series of social videos, and teased different elements of the story to drive viewers to the event page.
For the live masterclass, we used panoramic views of the City of London as a backdrop, and vision-mixed multiple cameras and live graphics to illustrate key points during the debate. Still buzzing from producing an hour-long live broadcast, we quickly turned around social media highlight reels to promote the discussion.
The headline: it is the bricks and mortar and infrastructure needed to build the AI and green revolutions that could offer real promise in this new rate environment.
